A companion volume to Folio Society’s scroll-box reproduction of The Bayeux Tapestry [2107]*. Fortunately, as not many of the pricey scroll-box Bayeux‘s were produced, the Tapestry is illustrated in miniature within the commentary.
Hardback. Publisher’s brown buckram with wrap-round gilt illustration, gilt title to spine; brown enepapers. In a gold-flecked brown papered slipcase with monogram to front panel. pp [i]-xiii [xiv], [1]-400, [2] blank, including b/w and colour illustrations, plus colour plates. Size: 10 x 7 inches approx. (253mm x 177mm).
Minor bump to lower corner of slipcase.
Overall, light shelf wear but otherwise a nice, clean copy – lovely.
