Foulis published a Rubaiyat with eight illustrations by Frank Brangwyn in 1910. This new edition published 1919 with a further seven illustrations in addition to the original eight.
Hardback. Publisher’s dark red-maroon cloth; gilt title to spine; black title and decoration to front board; stained dark red to top edge of page-block. Un-numbered rough edge pages plus 15 colour plates. 10.75 x 8.5 inches approx. (264mm x 205mm).
Covers a little marked and scratched, a little faded in places; dulled to spine; some wear to spine ends and corner tips. Endpapers wrinkled, some offsetting and foxing; pages dusty and marked in places, occasional foxing, but generally clean throughout; darkened and spotted to edges of page-block.
Overall, showing some light wear but otherwise a nice, clean copy – attractive.
