Rubáiyát of Omar Khayyám

illustrated and decorated by Frank Brangwyn
London & Edinburgh: T. N. Foulis, [second impression] November 1920

Foulis published a Rubaiyat with eight illustrations by Frank Brangwyn in 1910. A new edition was published November 1919 with a further seven illustrations in addition to the original eight, this copy being the second impression of that edition.

Hardback. Publisher’s dark oat coloured buckram; gilt title to spine; brown title and decoration to front board. Un-numbered rough edge pages plus 15 colour plates. 10.75 x 8.5 inches approx. (267mm x 210mm).

Covers a little dusty and marked; darkened to spine; light wear to spine ends and corner tips; upper corner to rear board bumped. Endpapers foxed and spotted; name in ink to upper margin of front free endpaper; foxing to preliminaries and final pages, otherwise occasional foxing and dustiness but generally clean throughout; edges of page-block darkened and foxed with some encroachment onto margins.

Overall, showing some light wear but otherwise a nice, clean copy – attractive.
