The Folio Society, fourth impression 1960
The Folio Society first published a Rubáiyát of Omar Khayyám in 1955, this copy being a 1960 fourth impression of that edition.
Note: the Folio 75 bibliography gives a date of 1962 for the fourth impression; this is incorrect.
Hardback. Publisher’s brocade in red with a gold and silver repeating pattern design; pale green endpapers. In a gold papered clamshell case with red title label to front. [32]pp including four colour illustrations. Size: 6.25 x 4.5 inches approx. (159mm x 115mm).
Light wear and rubbing to clamshell case. Some light foxing to first few pages but generally very clean throughout.
Overall, a nice, clean copy – lovely.
