Originally published in 1902, a popular work and reprinted many times.
This copy with the distinctive dustwrapper by Dick Hart (1920-?), which to my knowledge only appeared on the 1959 and 1965 printings.
Hardback in price-clipped dustwrapper with over-printed price. 316pp. Size: 7.5 x 5.25 inches approx. (190mm x 133mm).
Dustwrapper tanned to edges and folds; some light spotting/foxing to reverse side; a touch sunned/tanned to spine. Spine slightly cocked; endpapers with heavy foxing and offsetting; foxing to preliminaries and final pages but generally clean throughout; spotted and tanned to edges of page-block especially to top edge.
Overall, showing wear commensurate with sitting on a bookshelf long term otherwise a nice, clean copy – attractive and uncommon with this dustwrapper design.
