Hardback. Publisher’s full blue morocco binding with title and decoration in gilt to spine and decoration in gilt and blind to upper board; top edge gilt to page-block; marbled endpapers; head and tail bands; sewn-in ribbon page-marker. pp lx, 1195. Size: 9.5 x 6.5 inches approx. (239mm x 168mm).
Leather a little marked and scuffed in places, light shelf wear to extremites; a hint of sunning to spine. Offsetting to endpapers (to margins over the leather turn-ins); pages lightly age-toned but generally very clean throughout.
Overall, a particularly well preserved copy – lovely indeed.
