This classic children’s book was originally published in 1908. An illustrated edition with b/w line drawings by E. H. Shepard (1879-1976) was published in 1931. Shepard later re-visited the work and produced further illustrations in colour for the 1959 edition; this copy being a 1983 reprint of the 1981 new edition of the 1959 edition.
Hardback in dustwrapper. 285pp including b/w illustrations plus eight colour plates. Size: 8 x 5.5 inches approx. (206mm x 139mm).

Overall, light wear but otherwise a particularly nice, clean copy – quite lovely.
