Hardback. Publisher’s pale blue cloth with gilt title and black decoration to spine, gilt and black decoration to upper board; red endpapers; head and tail bands; map in pocket to rear. In a red papered slipcase with gilt decoration to front panel. pp [i]-xxvi, [1]-420, [2] blank, including b/w (sepia) illustrations, plus loose folding map. Size: 11 x 7.5 inches approx. (278mm x 182mm).
Light shelf wear to slipcase. Cloth rubbed, inherent I believe in the action of the fine silk-like cloth sliding in and out of the slipcase.
Nonetheless, a lovely, clean copy – very attractive.
