No publication date however ownership inscriptions in each book suggests circa 1888.
Two matching volumes bound in a reddish-brown soft padded leather with embossed design to boards and spine, page-block with gilt over red tinted edges. Housed in a soft padded leather case with matching embossed design to sides, with red silk lining, and a carry handle. Size: 4 x 2.5 inches approx. (102mm x 62mm).
Case: lightly rubbed and worn with occasional scuff or scratch; silk lining worn to one handle fixing. Books: leather lightly rubbed and worn, especially to edges; some light fading mirroring case opening; inner front cover to Common Prayer creased to lower corner; pages dusty, some foxing and grubbiness; multiple instances of corner creasing throughout.
Overall, showing some wear but otherwise in reasonably nice condition – an attractive example.
