A lovely fine leather binding; signed by binders ‘E.S.A. LONDON’ in blind stamp to inside lower margin of rear board.
Hardback. Full leather binding in deep blue; gilt title and decoration to spine; raised bands; gilt decoration to boards, emblem of Ulverston Victoria Grammar School to front; gilt decoration to board edges; blind stamped decoration to inner margins of boards; page-block with all edges marbled; marbled endpapers. pp viii, 373. Size: 7.25 x 5 inches approx. (184mm x 127mm).
Minor wear and rubbing to binding. Prize label affixed to front pastedown; occasional foxing but generally pages very clean throughout.
Overall, a particularly nice copy – quite lovely.
