The classic end of civilisation science-fiction horror novel by Richard Matheson was originally published 1954 by US publishers Gold Medal Books, with the UK edition being published in 1956 by Transworld Publishers.
The Folio Society edition with an introduction by Joe Hill and illustrations by Dave McKean was published 2018 in a standard trade edition, and in limited editions of 295 numbered and 20 lettered copies (315 in total).
This copy being number 18 of 295 copies, with a signed print by the illustrator.
Hardback. Publisher’s black leather binding with illustration in red; black endpapers with metallic red decoration; tinted pale red to edges of page-block; head and tail bands. In an illustrated cloth covered slipcase; signed print in folder loosely inserted. pp [2] limitation page, [i]-xiv, [xv-xvi], [1]-185, including b/w illustrations, plus colour plates; signed colour print in folder. Size: 10 x 5.5 inches approx. (254mm x 139mm).
Light shelf wear to slipcase but otherwise a nice, clean copy – really quite lovely.
