Hardback. A soft blue leather binding with gilt title and decoration to spine, gilt emblem to front board; top edge gilt to page-block. pp ix, 342, plus colour frontispiece and b/w illustrations. Size: 7 x 4.5 inches approx. (176mm x 113mm).

Covers lightly rubbed and worn to extremities; spine cocked and a little creased. Endpapers foxed and tanned; pages tanned but generally clean throughout. Edges of page-block tanned and spotted. Lacks sewn-in ribbon pagemarker, just a stub remaining.

Overall, showing light wear commensurate with age and having been read but otherwise remaining a nice copy – attractive and presentable.
