The Readers Library published affordable editions of popular fiction in the period 1924-35, cheaply produced but very attractive with their wrap-round dustwrapper artwork.

A film tie-in of the 1928 Warner Brothers film starring Dolores Costello and George O’Brien, directed by Michael Curtiz.

Lovely dustwrapper art.

Hardback in dustwrapper. pp 252, [1] publishers advert, plus [8]pp b/w stills from the film. Size: 6.5 x 4.25 inches approx. (170mm x 109mm).

Light wear and rubbing to dustwrapper; head of spine torn and creased; some foxing and dustiness; ink bleed through to verso. Light wear to boards and spine; spine dulled. Pages age tanned throughout but otherwise generally clean.

Overall, A nice, clean copy – attractive in its dustwrapper.
