The Readers Library published affordable editions of popular fiction in the period 1924-35, cheaply produced but very attractive with their wrap-round dustwrapper artwork.

Film tie-in of the 1928 German silent movie starring Ivan Petrovitch and Marcella Albani, directed by Aleksandr Razumny.

Hardback in dustwrapper. 252pp plus b/w plates. Size: 6.5 x 4.25 inches approx. (168mm x 108mm).

Dustwrapper a little rubbed and worn to extremities especially to head of spine; foxed to folds. Endpapers foxed; pages a little age tanned.

Overall, a particularly nice copy with an attractive dustwrapper – quite lovely.
