The Great Blizzards of March, 1916: round about Mount Tabor
Whiteley Turner
Halifax: The Halifax Courier, 1916
A rather slight and stapled booklet, being a revised and improved article by the author which had first appeared in the Saturday, March 18th, 1916 issue of the Halifax Courier.
Note: Whiteley Turner, Tea Dealer & Newsagent wrote articles on local rambles for the Halifax Courier. A series of these articles formed the book A Spring-Time-Saunter: round and about Brontë-land (1913), perhaps his most well known work.
Paper covers. Pale blue-green covers with title and publication information to upper cover, advertising and testimonials to inners and lower cover. pp [1-3], 4-15-[16]. Size: 4.5 x 3.5 inches approx. (115mm x 88mm).
Covers a little dusty and marked. Dustiness and age-toning to pages; single staple rusting with some staining encroaching into gutter.
Overall, light wear but otherwise a nice, clean copy – and an uncommon publication in any condition.
