A second volume of Hartley’s wood engravings, the first being published in 1989, and completing publication of her work in this medium. Both volumes were printed by Simon Lawrence of the Fleece Press on an Albion hand press.

A Limited Edition of 268 copies (250 numbered, plus 18 out of series) in three binding states. This copy being number 13 of 30 [11-40 (+4)] and signed in pen by Marie Hartley to the limitation page.

Hardback. Bound in quarter goatskin over patterned papered boards; pale green endpapers. In a slipcase with green buckram ends and buff papered sides. pp [not numbered], including b/w illustrations. Size: 11.25 x 7.75 inches approx. (288mm x 196mm).

Light shelf wear to slipcase sides, ie. dustiness, light scratching.

Overall, a lovely, clean copy – very attractive – in near fine condition.
