The English translation of this work was originally published 1960 by William Collins. Folio Society first published their edition in 1988 with an introduction by Raleigh Trevelyan, with further printings in 1989 and 1990. This fourth printing published 2000 is newly illustrated by John Holder and in a new (different to the previous printings) binding.
Hardback. Publisher’s red cloth with black and gilt title to spine, ornate black and gilt illustration to front board; pale yellow endpapers. In a red papered slipcase. pp xix, [xx], 186, plus colour illustrations. Size: 9.5 x 6.5 inches approx. (240mm x 162mm).
Light shelf wear to slipcase.
Overall, a nice, clean copy.
