This classic of American literature was originally published 1929 by Harrison Smith (US) and Jonathan Cape (UK). The Folio Society published a two volume limited edition in 2012.
This copy a first printing of the 2016 standard edition. Now a single volume but retaining the coloured text, bookmark time level key, and the introduction by Noel Polk and Stephen Ross.
Hardback. Publisher’s grey cloth with title in blue to spine and decoration to front board; grey endpapers; bookmark. In a dark-grey papered slipcase with title label to front. pp xxii, 533. Size: 10 x 6.25 inches approx. (253mm x 160mm).
Light shelf wear to slipcase.
Overall, a lovely, clean copy – appears unread – and strangely less common to find than the limited edition.
